I’m
going to swim with the whale!!! Yell by an excited sister with me who’s really
up to go to Oslob. Oslob is one of the municipalities in the province of Cebu
that became famous because of this Whale and other interesting nature’s beauty
that made Cebu a province full with interesting adventures both within the city
and in provincial area.
It’s
my first time with my family for this kind of outing so all were excited and
heads up until we've reached the place where the actual lovely whales are. From
Cebu City proper we headed to South Terminal and took a bus going to Bato-Oslob
and told the driver to drop us at Barangay Tan-awan which is just along the
highway with our one hundred fifty five pesos (Php 155) fare each person.
We
paid five hundred pesos (Php 500) each in order to swim with the whale and a
three hundred pesos (Php 300) payment for the rent of the boat including the
tour guide and “Bangkero”. There is also an underwater camera for rent
amounting five hundred pesos (Php 500) if ever you don’t have the type of camera
use for underwater adventure. The tour guide who’s together with the boat will
be the one who take nice photos while swimming with the whale. If you’re not
into go underneath and swim with those lovely whales, you can join the boat for
sight-seeing only for three hundred pesos (Php 300).
Before
sailing into the sea, an orientation is conducted together with those numerous
curious adventuristas. At the orientation, Do’s and Don’ts during the whale
watching are explained. Breaking any of the guidelines has corresponding
penalties that include fines and imprisonment.
