Among
all the places in the Philippines, El Nido is one of the best. My visit and
stay in the place was quite unexpected, reason why I was able to explore this
heartwarming place in Palawan Island. The place is widely known for its white
sand, beautiful beaches, gorgeous coral reefs, crystal clear water and warm
people. Currently, El Nido has been included as one of the beautiful beaches in
the whole world according to CNNgo! To give you some background, the succeeding
are my ideas on how to explore the place.
How to get there
The
easiest way to get in El Nido is flying with airplane. The famous airline
flying directly to El Nido is AIRSWIFT (website here). Flying with this airline
is quite expensive. It would cost you around seven thousand pesos (Php 7,000)
to ten thousand pesos (Php 10,000) for just one way trip, but the cost will guarantee
you direct flight in the heart of El Nido and a welcoming of their crews in the
terminal. You can also do cutting trip to save much money. You can book a promo
ticket through Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airline from Manila to Puerto
Princesa and travel through a bus or a van for five hundred pesos to six
hundred pesos (Php 500 to Php 600) from Puerto Princesa to El Nido within 5 to
6 hours.
Where to stay
There
are plenty of accommodations around El Nido and you can choose between
expensive and affordable one. But if you’re like me, I will choose the affordable
accommodation. The following are my suggested affordable inns you can check
on.
1.
Inngo Tourist Inn rate starts from Php 1,397
2.
Citrine Tourist Travel Lodge rate starts from Php 1,218
3.
Ipil Suites rate starts from Php 2,492
4.
Aqua Travel Lodge rate starts from Php 1,996
5.
Zaniyas Pension rate starts from Php 1,603
6.
Garnet rate starts from Php 1,598
7.
La Salangare rate starts from Php 1,597
8. Island Front Cottages and Restaurant rate
starts from Php 1,197
9.
Balay Paragua rate starts from Php 1,572
10.
Dormitels El Nido rate starts from Php 1,078
